WEEKLY DEVOTIONAL
WEEK SEVEN
This weekend we asked the question: "What happens now?"
After we become followers of Jesus, it's natural to ask the question, "what now?" The invitation to follow Jesus isn't an invitation to a one-time decision, but to a life-long journey of growth. This weekend, Katie taught us that once we understand the Gospel, we have three important jobs to do: to be with Jesus, to become like Jesus, and to do what Jesus did. Spend a few minutes reflecting on that idea today using the prompts below.

This weekend, Katie taught us that once we understand the Gospel, we have three important jobs to do: to be with Jesus, to become like Jesus, and to do what Jesus did. Spend a few minutes reflecting on that idea today using the prompts below.
PREPARE YOUR HEART:
Start by focusing your mind on Jesus. Find a quiet, comfortable place where you can be free from distraction. Take a few deep breaths and ask Jesus to open your mind and heart to what He has for you today.
READ:
Read these three passages:
Colossians 2:6-7; 3:12-15; 3:16-17
REFLECT:
What does it mean to "let your roots grow down into Him"?
Colossians 3:12-15 mentioned some of the attributes that we are to "clothe" ourselves with. What do you think it looks like to "clothe yourselves with tenderhearted mercy, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience"?
What does it mean to "let the message of Christ, in all it's richness, fill your life"?
PRAY:
Finish your time by focusing back on Jesus. Spend a couple minutes talking with Him – what’s been great? What’s been tough? What are you grateful for?
