Slow Down

We were created for work and we were created for rest. We are wired to do work. We are made with gifts, abilities, and passions to do work. BUT we were are also created to enjoy rest, to feel alive, to enjoy creation, and experience life to the full. God created us in His image for a rhythm of work and rest. When we violate that rhythm, we end up doing damage to our soul. We live in a fast-paced culture that NEVER seems to slow down. It can feel like if you are not busy, or you are not on the locomotive of life, you are not living. But the truth is, when we live in a committed rhythm of work AND rest, that is really when life can be at its fullest.
